Lovely, well-thought out post, Bekah. I don't full-on ship the Chlollie, but I could get there... if the show hadn't tossed Chlark under a train and called it meaningless, that is.

But if I take Chlark out of it and look at Chlollie purely by itself, it's a hell of a ship and could get to being the kind of relationship I could get behind. I just want them to deal with their late season eight tension -- which they will in my sequel, BTW. I should start sloganing my fic, something about fixing all the shit the show's too lazy to bother with. I don't know. I'll find something catchy.

I do full on ship Chlollie now, but I still love my Chlark. When Tom and Allison get a chance to really shine together, there's nothing like it for me

I would build on your comment in CheckMate. As you said, when Ollie said "let's go" he was treating her as a partner much more so than Clark had been recently (in earlier seasons Chlark did alot more together).

Then when Ollie agreed with her rationale for her to go by herself...he was treating her as an EQUAL partner. Trusted and capable. Not a sick kick or definitely not as a damsel.

One other thing....I'm curious what you think. In Charade, with the super cute picture text...I wonder if they are foreshadowing "seeing the view" of Star City?

What do I think of Charade? Well I love your thought, but I don't let myself think that way. I'd rather not set myself up for disappointment like that, but be pleasantly surprised if I'm wrong.

Oh Bekah, this is truly fabulous! From start to finish. The amount of thought not to mention the attention to detail that you’ve put into this post astounds and inspires me. I admit, it took me a while to jump into the Chlollie ship because I’ve been such a hardore Chlarker since the very beginning that I sincerely just focused on them. Saying that I did notice the potential for chlollie from Reunion, then S7& 8 - but at that time I didn’t care. I wanted Chlark.
Anyhow, amazing post. I am genuinely impressed.

We are alike, only you saw the potential for Chlollie before I did. I love reading Chloe fanfic, but that's just one ship that didn't interest me. For the longest time I didn't see it. I saw it in season eight. I didn't really fully ship them till Roulette. And yes being a hard core Chlark had something to do with that. I'm still not over Chlark. I will always love them.

See, the only Chloe fic I old read were chlark ones, now however I've been reading a lot of Chlollie and lately *whispers* chlex - I don't know why, I don't ship them I just find it quite fascinating.
I didn't start shipping Chlollie until roulette either.

And yes being a hard core Chlark had something to do with that. haha we had chlark binders on.

I don't think we'll ever get over chlark, it's just not possible. I mean we've loved them for like what 10 years? that's like a marriage hee

well I haven't loved chlark for TEN years, because I starting watching the DVDs during season 5. My first live season was 6, but it's still been a while and yes I will ALWAYS love them.
