Two Pre-Estrella Projects

Like lots of people, I have a huge to-do list before Estrella. Here are pics and details of two things I just finished. The first is a heraldic banner, and the second is the patch to go on the Tir Ysgithr household A&S champion banner for last year's win.

It worked out ok. I mostly worked at home. Was happy to find that the past year of doing scribal stuff has been helping out with all sorts of things I'm trying to do with paint.

Unfortunately, the College of Heralds has its collective head embedded deeply in its collective posterior, and that device won't pass, because the black parts of the bee are 'on' the blue and green. Before you submit, make sure there are white or gold outlines around the black.

It passed last year. :) I am however, taking creative license with how thick the black legs are (they were line drawn before), and how thick the black stripes are.

Don't be too surprised. They essentially ignored my picture when they re-blazoned it from bee proper to bee or, wings argent. So I am really taking some creative license. Because its not a bee without the black stripes.
