#2 - yes and yes. He's brilliant at conveying things without words. His face is so expressive anyway, but yeah...there's so much in the eyes when he was Spike.

AR - argh. Marti Noxon should've never tried to make a scene based on her real life where the female was in Spike's position and have a male character enact that. Who doesn't think "Hey, if I have a guy do this instead of a girl, it's going to be attempted rape and the audience will hate him"? Sometimes you can switch gender dynamics, but not when it's pushing sex. And why choreograph it with Buffy acting like a weak human girl? I hate this scene.
I agree that in the storyline, Spike needed the soul and to leave to grow up. Maybe, maybe if he hadn't burnt up and Buffy had pretty much quit slaying to let the others take over and they started figuring out stuff as people, they'd have settled on a dynamic that could be positive for both of them...maybe.
Yep! Give me a recipe, and it'll more than likely be a success. Particularly good at desserts, which is bad...
Ah, Maudlin Noxious. I...yeah. I don't like her very much. If the line hadn't been so long at SDCC for...that film remake about that vampire that starred Colin Farrell which she had something to do with...anyway, if the line had been shorter and I wouldn't have lost my seat, I totally would have asked her why she decided to ruin the character :P Made me wish I'd been at that Paley Fest.
As for Spike, if he hadn't burnt up, I kinda feel like they would have been running in place. Buffy didn't seem prepared to say anything concrete to him until he was on his death bed. If they'd all survived, perhaps not, but...I don't know, I just can't see it :/
