So instead of making a papercraft splicer mask for the Otakon cosplay I'm making one by hand out of wire mesh, plaster bandages, and paper mache. It isn't perfect, but it's pretty good and it's all mine. I think it'll be pretty spiffy by the time I'm done.

What would various people have to say about raiding Goodwill for vintage clothes and being a gang of splicers for a day at Otakon this year? Optional bunny masks, a little zombie makeup and fake blood, screeching random bits of drabble...it sounds like a fun time to me!

The weather is beautiful, but now I am BORED. Soo. Rock 'n Bowl! Next Saturday! Any takers?

I finally get eye care covered under my insurance and the closest optometry center Kaiser Permanente has is in Silver Spring. :| And there are no weekend hours. The only way I squeeze in my yearly physical check-ups are because the med center for those is in White Marsh and I get 8am appointments so I won't be too late getting to gran's house.
