*boooots, cooome*   *boooots, cooome*   ...dire straits will be experienced if the postman doesn’t put his skates on: viewing my current shoe collection I don’t think high heels is a great idea for trekking. It may have taken a while though to realise the ‘hole’ in my collection was not yet another pair of heels, but sturdy rubber soles… ha!

Very early Saturday morning (need to be at Gatwick 7am). Given I'm flying against 'time', I'll still be in the air by the time the rest of you are Vagabonding. :-)

I'll be back for Vagabonds in November though (pending how bad my jet leg is the first 24 hrs).

Thank you! Must remember to not have too high expectations - I will still stand out like a 'tourist' and be treated as such. Gone are the days you could blend with the locals and engage with them in a non-trading sense.. but I am very much looking forward to the views!!

Thanks! *& hugs* I think my only attempt abroad not to blend will be if I’m in my swimsuit on a beach and there’s some sexy men on it (the beach that is... not on the swimsuit). Otherwise I will stay firmly a brunette and in loose, comfy clothing. ;-)

I'm still adjusting to the countryside lifestyle and i think its changing me. I have almost stopped drinking and have changed a lot of old habits (no smoking for over a year now).

After reading what everyone's up to i'm glad that i left when i did, all this business with steampunk is something i dont get ,it reminds me to much of whats bad with cyber goth - by the time you take of all the stick on bits to get to whats at the heart - most of the time theres nothing left,

what ever happened to just raw music ?

thers only two things i realy miss , my friends of course and something from a band no one here will know. 30 seconds from mars did a video and at the end some guy said 'if music wasnt around i would be around, music is everything to me' - i miss that feeling.

I miss that feeling too. Steampunk is a bit of fun, but it's only looks - nothing else. Not sure where the scene is heading... but at least we have had fun in it!
