Captain America: Winter Soldier

Saw Winter Soldier. Probably the best Marvel film since Avengers, and that's saying something. Lots of action. Great characters. Great story - which turns the shared universe upside down in many respects. I loved the end-credits homage to the style of Bond and other 70's technothrillers.

That's a very good point. I haven't seen many of these due to being not so big a film fan. I saw Avengers and liked it, though I thought it was super dumb and explodey. I would like to watch more of them, but most people I know/hang out with would turn their noses up at going to see a superhero flick. (The only reason I managed to drag my fella to Avengers was that it was around xmas).

I guess by those standards I like "super dumb and explodey". I think the witty dialogue and well-drawn (if very simple) characterisation make it work. Unlike something Michael Bay might direct.
