"I fear the wine has rather slurred your speech. Did you say littlely?"

Wow how old is he? That doesn't sound like Jaime to me. Too many japes, IMO.

"You're Lord of Winterfell.

Ugh, what a weird thought!

"So are small, yappy dogs. Only most people use the word annoying."

hahahaha

"You're not afraid of what your child may be," he said. "You're afraid of what you will be."

Ooh. That is quite a serious tone amidst the jokes.
And I can see Tyrion thinking that.

In the bed, Sansa suckled the child's equally perfect, red-headed twin.

My first thought was "awww"
My second was, "Wait, she made me think 'awww' with Sansa/Tyrion?! Well this is just nuts"

:P

Of all the potential ships for Sansa, I see a ton of potential for Sansa/Tyrion. I really love the thought of them ruling somewhere together in the end and both of them finally getting a happy family life after all his family put them both through.

Thanks for reading! This fic didn't really turn out like I originally thought it was going to, and I'm always nervous about writing new characters.

Understandable!

I guess I can see Sansa & Tyrion working something out, but it still boggles my mind a bit. I like your way of thinking though, with the happiness :)

OOH. Be back to read tomorrow - this'll teach me to check the f-list so late at night and spot tempting things!

I'm biting my nails over this one...It didn't turn out like I originally thought it would, and I picked a really bad time to post it! Eek! I hope you enjoy it and that I didn't let Ser Jaime down! (After I finally got Jaime icons and everything!)

Leave those finger nails alone, you'll need them for the next fic dealing with Lannister issues - there must be a fair few to work through! And definitely no need for any biting: as usual, your 'voices' rang very clear and true for me.

How much would I like to see these two like this again in canon with the constant needling, the affection and the almost bitter understanding between them. It made me think again what an incredibly mixed up and small family they are, with Jaime father to children he could not acknowledge and Tyrion tormented by both the past and his own actions. How would you tell your children that you were the one who deprived them of their grandfather? And, rather like another fanfic favourite of ours, Tyrion must be thinking that if his 'curse' is passed on, his own child and wife may hate him in turn. No wonder the wine's flowing like water ( ... )

Squee! I know how you love Jaime (I do, too, but you know who truly holds my heart ;)) and I'm hugely relieved not to have let you down with this first attempt at writing him.

Oh, me too. Their "breakup" at the end of ASOS is about as gutting to me as Dany sending Jorah away, and you know how I feel about that! Tyrion and Jaime reconciling is one of my dearest wishes for the final books; in some ways they seem far more like the twins than Jaime and Cersei do. It's obvious that they really, really love each other.

How would you tell your children that you were the one who deprived them of their grandfather?

Then there's the (dead) uncle who deprived them of their other grandfather, as well. It's probably just as well that the Babies Lannister won't know Tywin, but yeah, you make a very valid point!

And, rather like another fanfic favourite of ours, Tyrion must be thinking ( ... )

YOU WROTE SANSA/TYRION. *clutches fic*

I really, really liked this. I liked it a lot. Which is probably not a surprise. I know we've talked before about the idea of Tyrion worrying over what type of father he'd be, especially to a child with dwarfism, and his fear here is so palpable. And it's very him to express it in this biting - bordering on really mean - way to Jaime.

Can we get more with Sansa and Tyrion interaction? PLEASE. Like, I normally don't beg like this, but I love your writing, and I love this pairing. And I just... I NEED MORE OKAY. *clings*

I wrote Sansa/Tyrion! Only Sansa is barely in it, I feel almost guilty, lol.

Anyway! It means a lot to me that you read this and liked it! This fic changed quite a lot over the course of writing it; my original dialogue had more to do with the dwarfism being one of Tyrion's issues, but it felt too, I don't know, obvious, so I cut a bunch and decided to have more of the biting repartee be about that and have the serious bits be more about the daddy issues, and I'm really pleased you think it worked. Thanks so much for reading and commenting! I've been kind of fretting about this one, which was probably my fault for deciding to post on a Friday freaking night!

I definitely want to write more! With more Sansa. :)

No, I agree that you made the right decision making Tyrion's fears about dwarfism more understated. And reading the other comments, I'm glad I'm not the only one who found the twist at the end... darkly humorous. And I'm also glad you meant it that way. XD

I'm beyond excited to read your take on Sansa as well, since I've yet to see you do wrong by any character. Also, I'm working on a Sansa/Tyrion fanmix right now, which... has nothing to do with this comment really, but I'm stupidly excited about it!

I'm currently dying from not enough time to write all the things I want to write! I've sworn to myself I'll write my next chapter of AYFN this week and I signed up for one more day at disney_advent, but we're going out of town for Christmas on the 21st and I'm not sure how much chance I'll get to write while we're gone. Ack!

Excited about your fanmix! I've never really listened to any of those before, but I'll be curious to see what songs make you think of them.

I loved this! Your Tyrion was perfect, I can see him being worried about what type of father we'd become, and the interaction with Jaime was very in character.

Why, thank you! I've been writing Tyrion in a WIP but this is the first fic I've posted with him in it. So pleased it felt in-character to you and like a realistic scenario!

You know, I honestly can't decide what I think of Sansa/Tyrion. I wouldn't say I ship it, since Sansa's obvious lack of consent to the marriage wigs me out, but on the other hand, the dynamic between them is intriguing. And if, later on down the road when she's a little older and more mature, Sansa might change her mind and come to genuinely love Tyrion, it could actually be a pretty sweet pairing. (I actually picked only Sansa and Tyrion as the GOT characters I was willing to write for the Christmas fic exchange I'm doing, in hopes that I might get assigned to someone who wanted fic about them, but it didn't happen ( ... )

And if, later on down the road when she's a little older and more mature, Sansa might change her mind and come to genuinely love Tyrion, it could actually be a pretty sweet pairing. It's definitely a problematic relationship, but something about the two of them makes me feel like they could actually be really good together, especially as rulers, once Sansa's grown and matured and learned to operate in this world, and once Tyrion has overcome some of his issues. (read: Tywin and Tysha!) I think what appeals to me is how Sansa brings out Tyrion's kindness--he really is quite the hero on a number of occasions--and how she responded to it, though with caution because obviously she didn't trust a Lannister. Anyway, yes, I see them potentially working far down the road, and it would have to be a very slow-developing relationship, especially before it became intimate ( ... )
