I loved the touch of the ink stained hands, wondering how he got it and then it referring back to his marriage license. Lovely job as always!

I do think Ted is being rather unreasonable given that a) Tonks is clearly really happy and b) it does take two to tango, so to speak.
the Ministry froze her -- their -- bank account
Bastards!
And Remus' code is very good - however hard I think, I can't work out what he means by the first part!
His marriage license is signed in indelible ink.
I love how many meanings that could have. I hope it means what I think it means...
Thank you so much for writing this. And I don't mind angst at all. If you ship R/T you have to embrace the angst!

Remus' code is very good - however hard I think, I can't work out what he means by the first part!Oh, lol. I wasn't sure whether that was at all clear. The rodent mating ritual Remus is off to help with is preparations for Bill and Fleur's wedding. Rodents referring to weasels. They needed the (DADA) professor's help with security spells ( ... )

I adore the ink and how stylistically you fitted it into the piece.
Thanks so much for sharing!

I love the last line, and the association throughout of ink. And the 'rodent mating rituals', lol. Great stuff. :)

Anyway, thanks for taking a peep at this even though your weekend's a bit harried! I'm really glad you like it and feel it's believable for Ted to just give voice to his first reaction without editing himself. After all, Tonks has to get it from someone, and I don't think it's Andromeda. ;) I just can't imagine that Ted would have thought it was the best idea for Tonks to rush into marrying Remus, as volatile as things are, and surely he'd expect Remus, being older and wiser would have seen how much it could -- and has, here -- cost Tonks. I think he's entitled to say a few things he doesn't really mean! Very glad you think Remus reacts in a Remusy way, and thanks for your words about the ink them, too!
Have fun at the races! :)
