Another wonderful installment. It starts out light-hearted and funny, but seamlessly slides somewhere darker and darker until it's almost painful to read (in a good way!). Although, all along the way, you alternate darker with lighter moments (mirrors, aww), and it really gives the piece depth

I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to reply to this! Time just keeps getting away...But as always, I really appreciate your thoughtful comments, and this review made my Monday morning

Hi! I finally found time to comment on this. It's great that you have the skill to take a chapter where nothing really happens, and still make it entertaining and enjoyable.
I liked drugged!Tonks and her obsession with scrambled eggs. And the reunion between Pye and the Weasleys was great. Plus, it was nice to see that her parents seem to be developing a grudging respect for Remus. That's better than no respect at all. :)
I also really enjoyed the parallels in this second part between the sorts of predjudice Tonks faces as a Black to the predjudice Remus faces as a werewolf. And I loved this line:
I know all that, and I want you anyway was a language Remus understood in his heart, where I don't care fell like a foreign phrase on his ears.
That short line so eloquently sums up all of the communication difficulties that they struggled with over the past year. Very nice.
You have no idea how glad I am you said what you said in the way you said it. My biggest fear with this chapter was that nothing was happening, but I had a few key bits of information I desperately needed to get in here, and it was too important to reduce to exposition and a summary -- along with Tonks' condition -- so I hoped and prayed this was interesting enough to distract from the fact that not much was going on. Thank you so much for relieving me on that score

Thanks very much! As I said about to jncar, I really needed this chapter for some plot notes, but I was afraid the lack of action wouldn't make for an exciting read. Very relieved to know you think otherwise. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
I've only just started reading R/T fic, even though I've loved them from the moment in the hospital wing (and don't understand how I couldn't have seen it before!). This is one of the first I've read, but it's all sorts of fabulous and addictiing! I hope you continue soon :)
Thank you very much! I'm really glad to know you liked this. It actually follows my "Transfigured Hearts" series and a multi-chaptered fic called "Don't Look Back" which you can find in my sidebar links if you're wanting more background for this. I was thinking of dropping it because it's so AU now, but now I'm thinking I want to keep going anyway. I hope you like delving into R/T -- I've got lots of Author recs in my memories, as well!
