Perhaps Mr. Collins has a cousin.

I really need to stop rereading Pride and Prejudice. I found myself actually being able to look past the story this time and notice all of the HUGE mistakes the copy editor made for the edition I have. Dude, license REVOKED. I guess the 13th (14th? Maybe it is.) read is the "get nitpicky" read.

Perhaps this will be a book post, for the most part? ( Read more... )

I was thinking about seeing Dinner for Schmucks, but I probably won't! I don't like things that are mean-spirited, and besides I can only see one film per week. I'm seeing Scott Pilgrim again tomorrow, and I want to see the Wrong Guys, and maybe the Kids are Alright, because of Mia!

You should write a book! Make it a reality!

In the end, the guy who invites Steve Carell's character to dinner realizes that he's been a jerk, and they become really good friends, so that part was sweet. :) It redeemed it for me. Otherwise, I would've felt terrible spending 8 bucks to watch people mock others. :/

I actually am working on a novel. ^^ It's going through yet another major revision right now, but so far I'm satisfied with it.

The Marquis is named after Cardinal Richelieu's cat - (Which is why Perrault used the name later) Being me, I rather like Mr Croup and Mr Vandemar. And yes, Islington is scary. "They deserved it!!"

I can't help but see David Tennant as Crowley ;)

I felt like Croup and Vandemar were really, really scary versions of Steinbeck's Lenny and George. XD I did rather like them though, even if they scared the heck out of me.

OH MAN, when Islington said "They deserved it!" all I could think of was those stone angels laughing. Bad, bad sound. :/

I am definitely going to keep DT in mind as I read. ;) (Now you mention it, he is a good fit, based on the physical description!)

'Good Omens' was an interesting book to 'cast', actually. I have such a clear idea in my head of who would play which part, I'd hate to see it messed up on screen. :)

My husband and I reckon that Moffat's next trick will be having people eaten by their furniture, so that you daren't hide behind your sofa...
