Yay scary fish-people! Yeah, 11 has that badass edge that 9 had, the nutbaggery is nearer the surface in a far more authentically scary way than 10. He gave the impression that he could lose it, but he was more like a manic child most of the time. Matt Smith pulls off the impressive feat of seeming older. I suppose 9 was coming out of the Time War, 10 was defined by Rose, and now 11 has the EoT craziness.
I'm glad Rory isn't being trashed. He's the Wash :) I think Amy still has the feeling that the Doctor is 'hers' - he's basically the Imaginary Friend from childhood made real, she's got to wake up to the fact that he's more dangerous and complex than that. I hope she's not gong to descend into the damsel in distress role - I'd prefer another Donna type.
Same here! I like Rory, I'm just shipping the impossible. ;)
I think Amy is sort of stuck with that idea, yeah. It's almost like she seems to think that she's the one who made him come to life or something. Hopefully she learns a bit more about who he is. :)
I can't see her becoming a total damsel in distress, though she does seem to get herself into some HUGE trouble, especially with those angels. I like her spunk too, and it would be great if she could be as sassy as Donna was (Donna was AMAZING! ^^). She did do pretty well when she blew up Fish Boy. Hee!
Fish-Boy was hysterical - 'did you just say something about Mummy?'
(Hee - one of my first thoughts when I saw the ep was that you were going to have a Shakes-squee about a Moor in Venice...)
The next ep's are quite good, too - I know where they filmed them, so there is extra flail-factor for me. :) (The fun of Who/Torchwood, seeing my old Uni haunts masquerading as London)
I knew I forgot something in my entry! ;) I think I was just overwhelmed by how funny it was to see a 16th century Venetian in a "Rory's Stag" shirt. XD I was sort of upset when he blew himself up.
I LOVE watching something and being able to say "OO! I've been there! I know this!" :) Lucky you too, with London! I've always wanted to go to England.
