Bummed about Longmire :( I tweeted too but I only have like... 15 followers soooooo... LOL.

One report I read said they're trying to shop it around. I hope someone else picks it up.

I watched the newest DW. I'm a 10 girl, but let me tell you, after watching Capaldi in one episode (and the fact that I have a thing for much older men and also, his outfit and his accent) I might be in love with Capaldi...

I am totally a 10 girl too, so I think I won't need quite so much separation this time around. Losing Tennant was SO SAD!

Hahahah me too. And several of those are spam. I mostly use my twitter account to follow gymnastics blogs! :)

I really liked Capaldi on first encounter. Also, I reallllly loved Matt Smith's final episode, in spite of having watched almost none of his other episodes (yet).

You're definitely in a minority there! I did not like his last episode at all. I thought he had deserved a better ending. Then again there are some things I don't like about Ten's good-bye either.

In general I did not like the last few episodes of season 7, I thought they were confusing and boring. Moffat has tangled himself in a web of twists and re-sets and I had no idea what was true anymore.

The 50th anniversary was awesome though and I also was very entertained by the new Doctor.

I didn't enjoy the back half of season 7 as much, but I had a really hard time letting go of Amy and Rory so I assumed that was my problem! I actually considered taking a mini-hiatus there to cope, lol. Instead I just read a whole bunch of 'and then Amy and Rory live happily ever after' fic to console myself.

I had no idea what was true anymore

Yeah, I can definitely understand that point of view!

Are you up to date with recent episodes? I am really glad they are back to the stand alone episodes, where the problem gets solved in the end. There is a bigger story in the background, but you can watch each episode on their own. In seasons 6 and 7, they all were just one big story arc and you can't just watch one episode without the others.

Have you read the books? They're definitely worth it. The first is a little slower but they pick up quickly after that!

My brother rec'd the show so I got season one from my library and then read the books. The one thing I find interesting is the difference in relationship between Sheriff Walt and Vic. I admit, when I read the books, my jaw dropped.

I like Henry Standing Bear but I've always had a thing for LDP. :D

I read the books first but I can imagine the reaction the other way around!

I am so with you there.

Oh, did I ever tell you that Longmire s1&2 are airing regularly on APTN (Aboriginal People's Television Network) here? This is interesting because I didn't think they had enough episodes for syndication yet, so there is definitely interest from parties other than A&E. I guess it just comes down to costs.
I'm not getting my hopes up yet, but it was just interesting. I have no idea what the broadcast models in other countries are like.

Well, that is at least one positive data point. It's just such a niche show since I think you and I are probably the younger end of the demographic?? lol. Anyway that concerns me. But we can hope!
