[She doesn't even answer him. She just opens the cell door, takes him by the arm, and roughly pulls him to his feet.]

[And whether he wants to go or not, she drags him down to the interrogation room, pushes him inside, and closes the door behind them.]

[She pulls out the chair opposite him and sits down, taking her time lighting a cigarette. She pointedly does not offer him one. She can tell he's feeling pretty chipper, too, which only sours her own mood even further.]

I wish I could say I was surprised.

Not until I was rather older. Princess Margaret did come to one of my schools, but to say I met her would be an exaggeration.
