I agree that once a month sounds good for meetings. Bill would be glad to help out with providing food - and if the meetings are Fri night, he can just bring leftovers from whatever he made for dinner. :D

Bill's not familiar with a whole lot of Muggle literature, but here's Remus' book suggestions:
