Walked to my local in-person voting location during my work lunch hour. Voted in-person. There was not a line to vote, but it was surprisingly busy.

Feeling kinda stressed.

Need to get a new car battery for the Honda. It also needs an oil change. It also needs two new front tires.

I need to go vote this week. I feel self-pressured to vote in-person, so need to ask my work for a long lunch, 2hrs, to give me safely enough time to get to the voting location, vote, and get back home.

If you convert an unattended altar to your Adventurer's god and #pray on it when safe, sometimes your Adventurer will be rewarded with protection.

Normally if a game session has a temple of the Adventurers god, you'll accumulate (XL * 400) gold coins to give to the priest when you #chat at them.

Just learned something new!

If an Adventurer is carrying a luckstone in their inventory, can break a boulder in sokoban, and their luck will be maintained.

Found out by experimenting in explore mode.

Being a good citizen today. Websearching candidates and voteable items for the upcoming election. Marking up my sample ballot in preparation for voting in-person in November.

nethack - ascension run - astral plane - 1st ascension ever - explore mode

Adventurer died many many times. Was only successful because was playing in explore mode.

Using a ring of conflict helped.

Starting 1st attempt at the plane of water

Seems many of the baddies are the type to drown an Adventurer in the regular dungeon. Will try a strategy of staying in levitation, and see how it goes.

Using an amulet of magical breathing helped.

Starting the plane of fire.

Since the Adventurer is a Lawful dwarven valkyrie with fireproof clothing, this level had the least health damage. The Adventurer stayed in good health.

Best technique seemed to wield Excalibur (automatic searching), and stay levitated, and just try to quickly roam.

Now will attempt the plane of air.

Barely survived. Air elementals are brutal. Adventurer's health was under 100 by the time they found the exit.

Need to have levitation. Ring of conflict helped. Ring of protection from shape changers helped.
