I had a few black bear encounters back in my hiking days in the Adirondaks. They seemed like cute little woodland creatures, until we ran into a mama and a cub. Fortunately we were in the parking lot (these bears are too acclimated to humans - not good for them or us), and we made it to our car in safety.
