If you get a chance, check out The Torah: A Modern Commentary. Is pretty good annotated Torah, frequently used by folks converting to Reform Judaism. Is kinda' interesting.

That is some downright bizarre stuff. It's ok to kill various people, but please don't hurt the trees! And don't use trees for meat?! Were a lot of people eating oak and tomato sandwiches back then? ;)
