Huh. A few years ago I ate dinner at the restaurant on the first floor of the Hooks Brothers' building (it was the only place still open and pretty blah) without knowing what was above me.

Were you the one who suggested visiting the Stax Museum? I did, and I had a great time. I wanted to steal Isaac Hayes' caddy.

Yeah, that was me. Glad you enjoyed it: it's an entertaining place. (It'd be nice if they stopped playing Green Onions over the PA constantly, but whatever)

Hey, by the way, I really appreciated your recaps of this trip. Even not being a blues fan, the perspective/race issue was always interesting and your descriptions of a region I've always really enjoyed (or at least been intrigued by) couldn't have been better. I have also repeatedly told my wife the past week that I crave a pulled pork/cole slaw sandwich.
