Mike, Nate, and I got up to Calvary Cemetery, right on the border between Evanston and the city, and visited the graves of supremely corrupt aldermen Michael "Hinky-Dink" Kenna and "Bathhouse John" Coughlin and local writer James T. So, today was my day off, and I got it into my head that I wanted to make a stop at Rosehill Cemetery to visit the grave of tremendously weird Chicago hack mystery writer Harry Stephen Keeler. * Long silence because there's a little too much happenstance happening. Sunday was Mike's mom's funeral. Despite the circumstances, it was a pretty nice 'do.
