I had always liked Down By Law, but, you are right, it does tend to move at an excruciating pace. Same for Night on Earth... another fave of mine, I caught it a couple weeks ago and I had to stop it about 45 minutes in (right after Benini)

I haven't seen Night on Earth, but I liked all the other Jarmusch movies I've seen. Dead Man was great.
