I peeked into his holdall the other day and was rather distressed that he'd filled it with glasses - the man has a spectacles fetish! It was like the magpie in that episode of Father Ted when it keeps stealing Father Jack's new specs. I

Oh, Mr M, you brought me close to tears! What a tragic story indeed. (Good material for one of your songs, maybe?) But woe, the evils of SpecSavers! How many innocent young men and women have been sucked into the dark and cruel world of spectacles and hearing aid fetishism, and each day have to fight with their desire to possess the newest and most outrageous model to satisfy their unnatural yearnings...
Speaking on behalf of, I'm sure, everybody at super_jed, we're wishing poor Jed a speedy recovery and return to a normal life. And thank you, Mr M, for helping him through these most difficult times, even if it means your reverting to - alas! - wearing glasses yourself.

P.S.: Will you think any worse of me if I admit to feeling a strong attraction to your bequiffed musical director myself, despite being half his age?
