Mar 24, 2007 19:39

Ring.

Please ring.

Ring, damn you!

Thinking hard at the phone doesn't make it ring any faster. Especially about certain plans that might be in effect. In case anyone was wondering. Parker couldn't seem to stop herself, though.

[for a very specific set of guys, then open!]

*ring*

Yes, Jarod was giggling, but he'd promised to call, so he was calling. See? He could be thoughtful and responsible and all that stuff

Parker grabbed the phone. "Well? What happened? Are you okay? Is Jack?"

Jack wasn't giggling, but he was making faces at the phone. "Jack's fine, Parkerrrrr." Way too many r's. How was he supposed to know when to stop?

"Jack," Parker said, her tone full of doubt, then frowned as she heard Jarod's giggle in the background. "What, exactly, are you two doing? Right now?"

Nadia wasn't feeling too terribly social, but, well, Parker had offered, and she'd always been pretty good when it came to listening. And she wasn't actually involved, which was nice.

An outside perspective might be just what she needed.

She knocked gently.

Parker was still feeling a combination of glee and *facepalm* over that phonecall, but no way was she going to get to sleep now. She opened the door and smiled. "Hey. Come on in. Want something to drink?"

"Something alcoholic? Because if so, yes."

"That bad, hunh? Sure. I've got some rum. Or scotch?" She wandered over to her cabinet, and cocked her head. "Have a seat, get comfortable. You're catching me in the best mood I've had in weeks."

Parker opened it, then blinked in surprise. "Broots. Hi." She actually smiled. "Come in."

Broots blinked at the smile. "Hi. I was bored."

Parker stared at him, the smile not quite going away. "Okayyyy. So, you stopped by to play my XBox? To upgrade the software on my computer?" She held the door open. "To hear me rant about whatever's on my mind?"
