Room 236: Sunday afternoon

Parker had locked up 234 carefully, put on some bouncy but not *childish*, thank you, music; and made sure anything breakable was in her bedroom, before going back to lift Esme out of her habitat so Aly could see her closer. "Here you go. Esme, Aly. Aly? Esme."

Jeremiah did not exactly knock on the door. It was just hard for somebody almost-six to carry a frog tank verrrrry carefully, and knock on a door at the same time, so there was some bumping of tank-corners against the door, and a nervous ribbit.

Parker opened the door, hoping it wasn't Earl come to play, then blinked when she saw the tank. "Careful!" She reached forward to steady it, then blinked at the little boy holding it. "Xander?"

Because how many purple frogs with little boys attached could their be?

"Hi, Maureeeeeeeeeen!" Xander bounced a little, which probably didn't make the frog any less worried.

Parker winced, then shook her head. Between Xander and Jarod, there's no way that name was going to stay secret this weekend. "Hey, come on in. Long time no see. And careful with Jeremiah." She pointed behind her at Benton and Aly. "We're playing with the pets." And how did she end up pre-school teacher, anyway?

"Ooooh, bunny and a puppy!"

Xander bounced and waved at Aly, and then caught sight of Benton and went Very Very Shy.

Parker took the tank and put it down on the floor, then looked over to see Xander being Shy. "Everything okay?"

Xander nodded. He might be kind of, um. Clinging to her leg, though.

Parker was not going to freak out. No, no. She took a deep breath, and patted his head. "Hey. You want a cookie?" She glanced over at Benton and Aly. "Everyone here has had one. And Aly and Benton are both nice."

Please let go of my leg? *whimper*

But just like yesterday, the whole this-is-Xander kicked in like it had with Jarod. "I promise."

Xander nodded again, letting go of her leg. "I like cookies!"

Parker grinned, remembering him being this cute last year. "We have chocolate chip. And Snickers bars." She retrieved the bag and held it out. "Don't tell Bridge or Willow."

Xander frowned, torn between not liking the idea of keeping secrets from Bridge and Willow, and the idea of...well, COOKIES.

"I can have some cookies, long as I eat healthy stuffs too," he said with a pronounced nod, splitting the difference.

"Cool. Oh, Esme will share her carrot sticks, then." Parker grinned, not having expected Xander to really keep a secret for long from either of those two. It was Xander after all. Not Aly. "Are you spending the night in your apartment, or here in the dorm tonight?"

Xander frowned. "I dunno. We stayed in Bridge's room last night."

Parker nodded, not surprised. "You guys can have dinner here tonight, if you want." She grinned. "Or just hang out 'til we're out of cookies."

"Xander!" Aly said, bouncing very carefully due to the weetiny bunny she was holding on to.

"Hi, Aly! See, I brought my frog!" Xander held up the tank.
