Parker had separated out her orchid seedlings into the controls-- which she was keeping in Room 234 -- and the ones she'd already designated as the brave adventurers on the frontier of magical and radiation experimentation

Parker opened the door with one elbow, and smiled when she saw Willow, while holding up gloved hands covered with dirt. "Hey! The seedlings are all ready to be magicked. Come in." She cocked an eyebrow at Willow as she held the door open with her foot. "'Made of awesome'?"
"As a reporter it is my job to report the truth," Willow replied with a grin. She came inside and looked for a spot to put her bag down where it wouldn't be in Parker's way.
"Well, thanks. And they say the press is biased." Parker gestured over to the daybed, saying, "You can put your pack there, and sit down," then folded herself down next to the coffee table, which was currently covered in tiny ceramic pots, as well as the floor next to it. "The ones on the floor were microwaved. The ones on the coffee table weren't. Do you need more room? Or for me to take Esme out of here?" She shot the bunny a glance, where she was sniffing through the slats of her habitat. "I don't need Esme singing. That would just be weird."
"Yes. Alcohol. Lots and lots of alcohol," Weiss sputtered, and proceeded to get into the *handwavey* details of his murder mystery romp with JD and Greg yet to be completed. "...and to conclude, I really wished you were there," Weiss said.
Parker had been chortling through the whole explanation, especially as the code names were mentioned, and the final reveal, and at this point, she almost hurt herself giggling. Finally she got it under control and crawled to her feet, walking back into 234 and coming back with a bottle of burgundy and two glasses.
"For service above and beyond the call of good sense, I salute you in your efforts to save the situation from those two. And itself. Tell me the rest of the trip wasn't quite so exasperating?"
Anders had come home, unpacked, gotten a shower, and finally slapped a piece of gauze over his neck before he wandered by and knocked on Parker's door.
Parker was looking at her seed plants speculatively, wondering which ones would be the first to bud or bloom, and scrambled up to answer the door. "Hey! Welcome back. How was Vegas?" She held the door open for Anders, and waved to the daybed. "Have a seat somewhere that doesn't have nascent orchids on it."
Anders laughed and half-sprawled across the bed, raising an eyebrow at the mention of orchids. "It was definitely an eye-opening experience, I'll tell you that much. Mostly I thought I'd come by and say 'Look, see? Still in one piece!' Mostly."
"Mostly?" Parker pounced on that qualifier like Esme after carrots. "What did you do, Daisy? Yay one piece, and back alive and I'm assuming, unmarried or ravished." Her lips quirked. "Or is that what you're here to report?"
