The docks of Fandom: afternoon

Parker was sitting on the dock, swinging her legs, tilting her head up to the sun with her eyes closed.

A couple coils of rope were lying on the planks next to her. No reason.

"Afternoon, Parker," Jarod said, sitting down next to her and hanging his own legs over the edge, bumping her shoulder as he did so. "This spot taken?"

Parker made a show of looking around and elaborately shrugging. "Amazingly, you've avoided the rush hour. Good thing you got here before the crowds." She grinned, and bumped his shoulder back. "So. Enjoy teaching your first class?"

"It was certainly different," he said. After a minute, during which he debated how much he really needed his ego, he asked, "How do you think it went?"

She smirked at him in delight. "I think everyone had fun. And no one drowned." Parker shrugged, kicking her legs, then relented. "It went fine, don't tell me you were worried."
