Parker had (of course) gotten tickets to the Olympics. A chance to see men tumbling and swimming and running in small outfits? Sign her up.

She sent a text to her friends - I got third row tickets and you don't, NEENER - And settled in to wait for the beginning of Men's Water Polo.

GO USA!

Isabel was working. At the job she was lucky to still have. Disappearing without notice for a week does not exactly endear you to your boss.

I'm jealous. We're dealing with the damned taped delay. Think you can get the brain trust to take over NBC?

"No, I kept my head down and tried not to give her any reason to notice me." For a variety of reasons Isabel preferred not to think about.

"Wyatt was, so we never started dating. I just knew his as this cocky guy that aggravated the hell out of the bitch until he finally got caught. Sam Winchester, Phoebe, a whole bunch of other students I really don't know."

"I wound up involved in this whole resistance movement on the island. We wound up breaking people out of detention and then fighting to take back the school. It was the weirdest thing," Isabel said, shaking her head. "One minute I'm chasing after some twisted version of Jamie Maddox looking t break it's neck and the next thing you know, I was me again going What the hell????"

"Christ," Parker said, appalled. "What *did* happen? How did they undo it? And what a mind-screw. I'm glad I missed it, but doubly sorry you got stuck in it."

"I think she managed to make some sort of time travel device using stuff she found while originally locked in special collections. Once that was destroyed, things went back to how they were supposed to be. Plus, Zoe shot her. Just to be sure." Isabel downloaded a copy of Monday's radio and had been extremely pleased to hear that news.

"I knew there was a reason I loved that woman," Parker said without missing a beat. "So. How're you doing? Need alcohol? Chocolate? Massive amounts of comfort sex with Wyatt? I can help with the first two, but you're on your own for that last one."

"Yeah, I think I can manage that part just fine," she laughed. "Overall I guess I'm okay. It was lonely more then anything. No you, no Wyatt, no Ronan. It was hard to get close to people because you couldn't be sure who to trust."

And if anything had Isabel traumatized it was this part. "But there was one person I trusted. More then anything. And that's the part that has be facepalming more then anything."

"You might want to sit down for this part."

"And don't eat or drink anything."

"How bad could it be?" Parker finished chewing on her sandwich, and sat back with her arms crossed. "Hit me."

"One word. Bel."

"And for the hell of it? Three more. Friends. With. Benefits."

Isabel leaned back in her seat and waited for Parker's reaction, no doubt in her mind that it would be amusing. And possibly loud.

That high-pitched noise was Parker inhaling through her nose and choking at the same time.

"You..." Give her a second. "Bel!?!"

Spluttering.

"Oh my god what was other-you thinking?! WRONG! So wrong! So many ways of wrong on so many levels oh my god..."

Yup, that was about what she expected.

"She was lonely. She trusted him. Other then that, I got nothing," she shrugged. "As far as life choices go? Definitely questionable from this angle but meh, what can I do?"

"Where the hell was Phoebe?... Talk about setting yourself up for rejection," Parker said tactlessly. "Hey. Where the hell was I? I should've stopped you!"

"Phoebe was in detention for a long, long time," Isabel explained, her own displeasure with the situation apparent in her voice. "Bel was playing the part of an evil minion, but in reality was passing information on to the good guys. From what I remember, we were both lonely and unhappy and well, do the math."

"I honestly don't think you ever came to the island because I don't remember thinking about you at all." She paused for a moment, thinking back through her memories of the week and recognizing several points where thoughts of Parker definitely should have come to mind, but didn't. "Weird."

"That is very basic elementary math. And of course Bel never got past that level, so..." Okay, cheap shot, but it was Bel. She had to. Parker sighed, leaning back in her chair, calming down from the heart attack Isabel had given her. "And, well. Without Wyatt, without me, I guess-- No. Not seeing it, don't wanna." She waved a hand in the air to erase the images, gaah.

"Okay, that's strange. Although it had to happen sometime. That Daddy would really send me to another convent instead of to Fandom." She frowned pensively. "I'm sorry. I just always assume there's a me in these things, watching your back or other people's."

"Hey now, that's my friend you're mocking." Because Isabel had a soft spot for arrogant pains in the ass.

"I wish you had been around. You are supposed to be there. Snarking and kicking ass as needed."

"I'm guessing you guys couldn't call out. Well, it wouldn't have helped, but-- I wish I had called, and found a way in for you." Parker took a sip of her iced tea. "And Bel says worse things about me, most of the time. Except when Phoebe hits him for it."

"Gee, I do the same to Wyatt." Which lead Isabel to a thought she'd been trying to avoid.

"I still haven't told him about this," she sighed. "He'd definitely flail. And Bel, being Bel would be obnoxious. And oh god how am I going to survive the wedding without them killing each other?"
