Last night I was watching American Eats on the History Channel, and it was about pizza. Funny enough, we were having pizza for dinner too! Obviously there are a few movies that helped to define the genre of space-action movie in the public’s mind. Primarily, Star Trek and Star Wars. Alien by Ridley Scott (1979) is probably the most perfect movie ever made that takes place in space. It is an intense and terrifying horror story. Scott and writer Dan O'Bannon give us astronauts who are not. They are not scientists or soldiers. Saw X-Men 3 this weekend. It was entertaining, but not nearly anywhere as good as the first two in the series. This one was an action movie, whereas the others were movies about the X-Men that happened to have some action sequences in them. I've gotten a bit off-topic with my last couple of posts. Well, the next one will be about movies again. I just saw Kika by Pedro Alamodovar. When I can sort out in my head exactly what it was I watched then I'll write about it. It was good though.
