April is Micromanagement Month

Mar 29, 2007 23:56

Okay, so I have decided that April shall be the month in which I take myself in hand. Enough of this silly wallowing in wintry woes (ooh, an alliteration!). It's spring, the sun is out, the days are warm but not horribly hot, and it's high time I turned things around ( Read more... )

If I help you keep honest will you become less fun?

Uh, I doubt it.

What makes you think I'd become less fun? :P

If anything, I'll become *more* fun, because I'll be in better shape and less stressed about the little things I keep ignoring. :)

Is that a challenge? ;)

I like reading about that stuff. Gives me ideas for my own situation to be honest.

I came to the conclusion this week that there is NO reason for my life not to be exactly as I would like it to be, other than for screw ups engineered by yours truly. So now's the time to examine and work on stuff.

You too?

I think I'll join you in your "no TV" challenge. Easier for me, because I don't watch much TV to begin with, but it means no more marathons with other people's DVDs. ;)

The no DVDs thing will be extremely tough. No TV I think will be beneficial because lately I only watch stuff that works me up :)

Come, join me in my windmill assault! :)

But essentially yeah, there is no good reason for me not to have my house by now, or be a good writer, or be in shape or all the hundred little things I want to accomplish. It all comes down to either 1) I never got off my butt and did it, 2) I didn't bother paying attention to details, 3) I didn't want to think about it. Well, I'm setting myself up to not have anything that will shut down my mind, no brain candy...forcing me to think, if only out of sheer boredom. Who knows...it might actually work. If not, well it was worth a shot :)

Although I propose to celebrate day 31 with junk food and a marathon of dvds (to be determined later)! Which is properly ridiculous and mildly destructive, but fun as hell.

I propose an alternative. How about a marathon of DVDs and really good cooking?

We've been threatening to get together to watch movies/tv shows since November. We should make good on that. ;)

I can't keep you honest if I don't see the posts.

On another note -- GREAT icon!

Thank you! I loves me my Sesame Street icons.

I haven't made the filter yet. I thought I'd give people time to answer the poll first. ;)

Speaking of awesome icons -- I thought of you and your icons as soon as I saw the last panel of this Two Lumps strip. :)

I also opted in for the filter. This is the kind of stuff that helps me look at my own life, too. Possibly one of the main reasons why I read online journals.

Hee!

I am sadly out of icon space right now, but I may come back when I feel it's time to change again. :)

I shall add you to the filter right now.
