2 weddings in one year :( For a while there I counted each wedding (or similiar statement or unstatement of permanent affiliation) I was attending as +1, and each divorce or seperation of same as -1. I think he highest I ever got in one year was a +8 (it would have been +11 except for the -3), and the lowest -4 (no positive modifier). I wonder what they are all doing now.
There may be space with halloranelder and me. We will have to consult and work out if anybody else has a prior claim.
You'd be staying in the living room, but it's a very private living room - fully closing door and no through access to anywhere else. You might have to put up with me coming in to set the PVR at some stage, but that'd be about as much disturbance as you'd get. A spare key exists, and the couch folds out into a double bed. (Or is it effectively a queen size? I'm not sure.)
Okay, we discussed the issue, and it looks like the spare bed is currently unclaimed for Arc. I'll even throw in a lift to the con each day as a freebie. You like?
We would love to come stay with you guys. Is having our own car going to be an issue? It looks like we will be driving. Well we can we will be driving, unless we get free air plane flights, which we won't be... So, we will be driving. :) hugs
No, having your own car should be fine. There isn't enough room to park two cars in the yard, but on-street parking isn't a problem. 4-6pm weekdays and 9am-1pm Saturdays, you can't park on one side of the street, but I've never had to go further than the next block to find on-street parking at any time of day. Besides, you'd be at the con before 9am on Saturday, and even if you go out for the day without your car on a weekday, you'd be able to shift it across the street on your way out (because I'm sure you wouldn't want to leave before rush hour, when half the cars go away and leave plenty of parking. You'll be on holidays, after all.)
Leaving my old car on the street did lead to it being written off by an idiot who crash into it (while drunk, I bet), but while I now always park in the yard overnight, that's not an everyday occurrence.
Hey babe. I'm sorry to read that you're feeling down (to put it mildly). I sympathise with you hurting for no known reason. I've been using St John's Wort for my depression, and that (most of the time) works really well. Do you have stuff that helps you cope? Looking forward to seeing you at Arc. I'll send you virtual hugs til then.
