[1001: VIDEO]

[With a blackened face and smoldering hair, Moss looks very much like he's found himself on the wrong side of a firework. Given the date, this is, of course, exactly what's happened.]

Once again it would seem my attempt to recreate Gandalf's dragon firework has gone slightly wrong. Although had I not unintentionally set it off so early on, I ( Read more... )

I don't recall the books giving much in the way of detail about how his firework worked. Don't tell me you're seriously trying to recreate that with regular firework materials.

Only every year for the past seven years. You could say it's become something of a Bonfire Night tradition for me.

And you've somehow managed to avoid third degree burns the entire seven years?

Again, and not that I don't think it would be painfully cool if you made it work, because it would be really, really cool...but don't you think that maybe you have to literally be a wizard in order to make that firework work properly?

I think slightly wrong started at the first step of thinking you can recreate something that was done by CGI in the first place.

Well, actually it was done by writing in the first place. But technicalities aside, I don't think that's where I went wrong. I'm sure it must somehow be possible to create one in real life.
