[She comes up behind her, smiling. Ukraine was always her mother-type after all. That never changes] Ukraine, do you need any help?

[Even creepy Ukraine doesn't loose her mothering traits. She smiles.]

That would be wonderful dear. Why don't you help me clean the living room? You dust and I'll finish with these papers.

Alright then! [She goes to get the things to dust and goes about that. Score one for not getting treated much differently]

[Yup. You're in the house, you're polite and such a good daughter.]

How have you been doing dear? I know it's been rather irritating at times with the lapses of power. But they seem to be getting better.

[Pamela will be coming through one of the walls as Ukraine cleans, cheerful as ever.]

Oh, Ukraine, good afternoon!

Oh good, Pamela I was hoping to speak with you.

Do you celebrate Christmas normally?

Hmm? Oh, every now and then- I celebrate all sorts of holidays, really? There's always lots of different people and objects drifting in and out of the Netheruniverse, so when you're a ghastly innkeeper like myself, you get to know a lot of things!

Good. We'll be celebrating really in the next month. But I thought it would be nice to have a small get together on the 25th anyway.

Of course. [No hesitation there. Everything is normal. Why wouldn't it be?] Is there anything I can do to help prepare?

[Totally normal.]

If you want to make something to bring that would be lovely.

Also, you can come over now if you'd like.

I think I will. Uh... on both counts.

[And he's grinning a little, despite not being so sure it's the right expression to have this week.] I'll see you soon.

First of all, Christmas is always in December.

Second of all, who'd seriously want to have it with you?

motheringnation December 19 2011, 04:40:33 UTC
January dear.

And the people I have it every year with of course. Now Latvia and sister aren't here. But I've made some new friends also.

You will be coming. It's tradition.

[Oh! Suddenly help! Signless turns and gives Ukraine a weak smile.]

Yes, actually. I'm looking for something for my lover and my custodian. [Not...that there's any guarantee the flowers will be excepted or that the recipients will even remember him but he doesn't know that yet.]

Wonderful. Now, is there any kind they like or don't like?

I'm afraid I can't say. We don't have flowers as lovely as these where we're from.

But they're both very fond of green.

Green. Well there's lots of green in flowers. But let's see if we can find some for you....

[Walks over to where a bunch of flowers are.]

Roses are always nice. But I think if you get a bunch with different types, the colours all mixed together can be quite beautiful.
