Absent friends (and communities)

Forget about the debate about the aesthetics or general functionality of the new profile page. Or the new update page. Or the friends pages. This is a bigger/stranger worry.

I needed to check something in a comm that was only formed during 2012 (ruby_story_swap) and went, as usual, to my profile to click on them. I had the new profile page open and the comm was ( Read more... )

It seems to have been a question of LJ introducing new things at the same time as LJ having problems so my panic has died down...

I don't have the problem in either the new or old versions, but then my list of friends probably is too short for a need to 'hide' any. However the loading and comments glitches have been happening for me too. I'll be glad when they get it sorted. As for the formatting, well I can only use rich text and, as you know, have had the same paragraph problems!

I'm so tired of formatting problems - my Word10 experiences have been quite bad enough without the issue reaching LJ. Word has been misbehaving for Wordpress, too, so I don't use it for LJ posts - sometimes I compose directly on LJ and sometimes I use RoughDraft.

The comment glitches seem to be dying down - for now!

I have a short friends/comm list, and LJ has still managed to scare the hell out of me the last few days.

I haven't noticed the things you describe, but then again, I'm afraid to try looking. Maybe this weekend...

Argh...(worrisome).

I think it's mostly the introduction of new stuff at the same time that all the 'disturbances' are happening. Hopefully by the weekend all will be well in LJ-land.
