Other situations where I have bitten the bullit & thought "I might as well push myself now while I am numb":

When my ex wife & I first officially agreed it was over & agreed not to talk for a couple weeks (a rule she broke after 2 or 3 days) I decided to quit smoking. I had quit smoking before for about 2 years but had started up again. Its very hard not to smoke when you are fighting all the time & stressed out.

So when I quit I said: well I am goijng to be miserable these next two weeks no matter what I do, so I may as well deal with my withdrawals now. And that is eaxactly what I did.

When I lost Simone it threw me into a very severe depression. I realized if I allowed it to, that it would derail me altogether. So I volunteered at my local cat rescue & in a lot of ways it has saved me.

Oh its OK I am in a similar situation. LJ has becoem an echo chamber to a certain extent/ almost as good as keeping something a secret.

It should be OK. Evryone says these surgerys have a very high rate of perfection/success.

yeah, i guess so, about the surgery.. i guess heart surgery is a lot more common these days
most surgeries are a lot more common these days
still can be a scary thing

i like the secret livejournal
i dont really use facebook at all.. maybe i should, be more 'social'
but my family and some people i know (or who know them) are my 'friends' on facebook
and lots of times i just dont want to interact with them, or just want to vent or not deal with them
i like that livejournal is my personal online space that those people dont know about
i mean, they could easily do a google search of my user name and find it, but i am really not that interesting and really have nothing to hide, so its not a big deal anyway
