Widdle plotty kins?
OK so I had this idea pretty early on that I'd show Matthew's crazy risk taking side by having him be on the Sigrun, sealing the Shaggoth inside of what is basically a very scary pokéball shaped like a coffin, when it blows up at the end of the plot. But being a baby RPG boss, it'd be against the Villainous Union rules be killed by something so obvious, and he's definitely one of those guys that if you don't see a corpse (and check the pulse, and cut its head off and get the DNA checked and never ever turn your back on said body) he's probably not dead.
So, what's going to happen is that he's going to pull off a desperation, last ditch effort spell that bumps him out of this dimension, into a smaller one of his creation that's disconnected to the main reality-it'll make him undetectable, but his reference point for materialisation is the Thor, so even though the Thor will be hauling IID out of there, he'll return near enough to get his tiny bum saved, after about five days or so of looking awfully deceased, with no way to communicate with the outside world.
Originally I wasn't going to make a plotting post, but I've decided it could be fun to let others in on it; the basic idea is a couple of other people could get caught up in the spell and end up spending five days stuck in a very small area with nothing but each other and what they bring with them. Cabin fever, raised tensions, a creepy kid, accidental groping, the sky is the limit. Obviously this loses some of its impact if we have too many people, but because I can't say no to anyone, I'm declaring no more than five people, first come first serve.
As for playing it out, I would make a single log with five threads, one for each day and we'd just reply to it as we went along.
