I think this is more evidence that there should be a monitoring system in place for mental interference with the Barge's residents outside of a flood. Such a thing remains impractical, unfortunately.

I'll uh... I'll just let them figure it all out.

I failed to contact another warden in time to deal with him in person, and perhaps shouldn't have said anything at all. I did not anticipate this reaction, but given circumstances, I probably should have.

Did you have any backup at all? Dammit, you could have been killed! Granted, it's not as final here as it is in the outside universe, but that doesn't mean it's not unpleasant.
[Pause, huff.]
Where are you?

I didn't think he'd kill me. You've got friends on board- Fuck. Fuck. [Frustration.] It was stupid and complicated but goddammit I didn't want him getting killed by someone that would get off on it. Even if I had to be the one to do it.

He's a vampire; there's no telling what he might have done. [In Narvin's mind, Hoffman is currently "the vampire," nameless, monstrous threat. Although hearing Kay talk about him as a friend is shaking up that dehumanization a little.] What if he'd done worse than killed you? I'll reset you if I have to, but I'd rather never have to.
