Hermione Granger happens to be exhausted as she enters her flat. She kicks off her shoes whilst rubbing her temples. It's been another long day at the Ministry. She loves her work, she does, but it can be loads of research, even for her. She gently sits her enchanted purse down on the table, then carefully removes a stack of books and files from it ( Read more... )

He hasn't even been to the villa in a few years, but it's not that that catches his attention. More that the key was used, reminding him of his existence as if he actually forgot this soon. But it means he arrives in time to hear her, even if she can't see him yet and he'll bring up the lights as she finishes speaking.

Because you know, he always preferred a grand entrance.

And he might look different than she last saw him because his mun got bored one day and changed his icons but really...could he be anyone else?

"You think I forget so easily, darling?"

She jumps - still startling as easy as ever, though honestly what did she expect? She tilts her head, studying him curiously. He's changed, but then, she supposes a deity can do that with a snap of the fingers if they like.

"Why, I don't know. I'm sure you have a great many things to keep you busy while I grew up a bit," she can't help but grin up at him. "I'm glad you didn't forget me. I would've been a bit cross."

Deities are certainly generally free to look like whatever they desire, and Loki's more prone to changing things up than most.

"A bit?" he raises his eyebrows and crosses his arms, "that's all I'd amount to is a bit of crossness? How disappointing."

Well, he's really just teasing, but he makes a good show of being put out by it.

"Oh, you'd amount to quite a lot of crossness! In fact, I wasn't entirely certain if this key that I wear about my neck every day would even do a thing. How silly would that have been to be standing at my own door just waiting and waiting and have Crookshanks stare at me as if I'd gone mad?"

She can't believe she actually feels a bit shy, but then, it has been some time. She takes a few hesitant steps toward him then gently hugs him, sighing softly. "I would've been more sad than cross, truly."
