People in the medical profession have power. It's magical. No, really, I graduated school, employment doesn't start until fall, and my parents thought a nice trip would be....therapeutic.

So a moment ago there had been empty space on top of her bed. Well, empty save for air and various floating-about molecules. That sort of thing.

But between one eyeblink and the next, that space was filled with the body of a man. Well, a god. Lounging on her bed, he was, lying on his stomach, chin propped up in his hands as he looked down at her. "I don't even merit a phone call, mm?"

"Loki!" and really, she shouldn't be shocked that he appeared, but it always startles her. "I didn't know how to call you except the double double toil and trouble way."

She gives a Crooks a pat on the head, ruffling his fur a little. He replies only with a snort. "Crooks didn't like the plane. Mum and Dad wanted a normal vacation, magic not included," she explains, though she doubts the general mood of her cat is interesting to anyone but herself. She gives a shrug in the cat's direction.

"Well," she says, leaning against the bed from her spot on the floor, looking up at him, "I was going to use my key, but...I wasn't sure if I should. You haven't popped by in awhile...I didn't know if maybe you had a new pet or something."

"Using my name tends to work, especially if you shout it in public places in very embarrassing ways," he grinned.

And then he was widening his eyes at her, "a new pet, darling? Hardly. Perhaps I thought you were too busy being a grownup now."

"Is there an embarrassing way that would actually get your attention? I would think you've seen them all by now," she smirks.

She rolls her eyes and lets out a soft sigh, "I'm never too busy. Well, perhaps just before my NEWT examinations, but, that was a study matter, and you know how those are. Studies aside, I'm never too busy."

It's less fun being domestic at home. It was fantastic being all domestic and normal at the beach house, though it was a wee cold. Oh, and Crooks is mad at me.
