It's been a while since I updated. Just haven't had much to talk about. :)

I went to see Claire Wyndham and Oval Opus a couple of weeks ago, but that's about it. A couple of friends and I were planning on going to the Minneapolis Renn Faire last weekend, but the trip was cancelled at the last minute. (Note to colliedoc: they haven't actually charged ( Read more... )

I can't think of any sort of chocolate liquor that's not :/ and you're right, jello and cream somehow don't sound that appetizing.

Heroes so far has been made of awesomeness for me. I'm just wishing for more Petrellis and Bennetts, and less Mohinder :|

I've always wanted to try BPAL. What's it like?

I tried one of them last night, it was just a very *weird* consistency. Not pleased at all, I am.

I liked Mohinder, 'cause it brought us back the Haitian. :D And I'm sorry, but Mohinder is just far too gorgeous for me to really begrudge the screen-time. :9

There are SOOOO many different choices of BPAL that it's hard to tell someone what it's like. What kind of perfumes do you like? Do you like sweet scents or flowery scents or salty scents? :)

I love the Haitian :) And yes he is very pretty, I just can't stand the voiceovers. I'm a simple kind of girl, I don't need his presence justified. The pretty is enough.

Your post inspired me to go buy so BPAL, lol. I am going to blame you if this drains my bank account.

I bought imps of:

Mad Sweeney
Agnes Nutter
White Rabbit
Envy
Bilquis
Mr Nancy

I'm most excited about Mr Nancy and White Rabbit. I love scents that are almost...crisp, in a way. Musk and vanilla and I don't usually get along, although if it's coupled with something interesting I might be able to tolerate it. I like a variety of things, though, based on my mood. Something might be too flowery one day, but perfect for the day I feel being girly.I'm strange like that.

Most scents I like, though, include lavender, rose, apple, any citrus, jasmine (not too strong, though, and mixed with something), mint, tea, ginger, etc. I have yet to find a signature scent :)

Ummm... I think there's a problem... you can't get imps of the Carousel/Good Omens scents (the ones based on Neil Gaiman's books)-- which at least 4 of your choices are. (Bilquis, Mr Nancy, Mad Sweeney, and Agnes Nutter.) While I appreciate that they offer the option of imp packs, they REALLY don't explain it very well on the website that imps are only available for certain categories. :(

You may be able to contact them via email to change the order, but otherwise, they'll just send you other random imps instead of the ones you requested. :/

I would highly recommend Bayou... not only is it one of my absolute favorites, but it's a crisp scent with a citrus-y base. It's actually got lemongrass as the basic ingredient, I think, so it smells very citrus-y to start with, and then as it starts to fade, it just smells *clean* to me. <3<3<3<3 ( ... )

I was already planning on bringing them to MFF so that you could take a look/sniff. :) if any of the ones I mentioned look particularly appealing, let me know, and I'll make sure it's still around in a month and a half. :)

hmm, well, that's unfortunate about the chocolate cherry jello experiment, I'll inquire about that with tria tomorrow. however, I did have a fairly brilliant alternative, that I'm sure will turn out better ;)

yay! imps!!!

Yeah, let me know what liquor she used, 'cause I'm NOT a fan of the one I picked up. On the plus side, though, we can mix it with the banana liqour and make stronger chocolate-covered-banana shots. ;)

oh, yeah, because what I need is stronger chocolate covered banana shots ;)

and I forgot to ask her about it today, so I'll remember tomorrow

I'm pretty sure there is a Starbucks liquor that isn't cream based. It may be coffee flavor, but I thought they had a chocolate one, too.

I can't remember if I looked at the Starbucks ones or not. I can't STAND coffee flavouring, so I remember looking at the bottles before and seeing that even though there were cool flavours, they all seemed to have coffee in them, too. (which makes sense, considering it's Starbucks, but still... doesn't do me any good. :) )

I'll check them the next time I'm at Woodmans, since they're the store most likely to have what I need. :)

Some of the Godivia Liquiors are not creamy, I am tempted to say all but I am not sure.

I started to get the white chocolate Godiva liquor, but it was $20 a bottle and I knew I'd be using a cup's worth in the jello. Since I didn't know whether it was going to work (and you can't see in the bottles to see if they're creamy or even if they're dark or light liquids), I decided to go for a cheaper liqour. :)

Thanks for the info!
