BTW: Do NOT spoil me for any unaired episodes. I swear I'll send Sylar after you, and you won't like it! Anything that's been aired or is in the comics is fine, though ( Read more... )

I just watched the Matt-girl-rescue episode, presumably she had a power that Sylar wanted because he came back for her. I've never seen anything where it was shown what that power was however.

I think it would be cool to have a family tree of the Heroes to see who's linked where and how.

I suspect that Nathan/Peter's mom has some sort of super power, their father, I think almost certainly did, they played way way to hard on the father's suicide for it to be just background plot filler .

First of all... if you haven't read the online comics at the NBC site, go do so. :)

From those comics, I'm inclined to think that Mr. Petrelli did NOT have a power. (Although that throws one of my original theories out the window.)

Mama Petrelli almost certainly DOES have one. She pretty much told Peter & Nathan as much in ".07%" although we don't know WHAT her power is. My personal theory is that she's the precog in the family, and Peter picked up the prophetic dreams from her.

I don't know, she's definitely got some leadership type powers, the whole "hold the clan together" aura. I don't think they'd duplicate a power already seen in a character, but they might.

Whatever it is, I'll bet she ends up going toe to toe with Linderman sometime.

By that, do you mean duplicating Peter's power? Because I don't think they would be. I also don't think that they'd have a character with more than one natural ability. (Which is why I *still* question whether both of the Haitian's powers are actually *his* powers...) I think Peter's natural power is the ability to mimic. He's a sponge, soaking up other people's powers. I think his prophetic dreaming is just the first manifestation of his ability-- because he was picking it up from someone else close to him. ie: Mom.

I don't think her leadership/holding the clan together powers are necessarily "super". I just think she's got a forceful personality and is a strong person.

Try this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_characters_in_Heroes.

I think it lists pretty much every character we've ever met in Heroes thus far! Plus tells you the powers/etc of each one :)

I figured there was one of those somewhere. Thanks. :)

Have you seen the latest episode? Didn't we meet a couple of "supers" in the future? Like the kid that Bennett was sending away into the Hero Protection Program... did we see what his actual power was?

Haven't gotten around to d/l the latest episode yet. Mostly because I found the last one rather anti-climatic :S but will look out for these 'supers' when I do! and the kid! XD

Oh, this last one was awesome! Five years into the future... everyone is harder, meaner, and much hotter. :D

I was absolutely blown away!

I'm not quite so willing to eliminate Mr. Petrelli Senior from contention - it may be something that came to him late in life? I agree about Mrs. Petrelli, though, and the precog ability would certainly fit in well.

Let's see, checking your list against NBC's Heroes wiki* Brian Davis - Telekinesis, Sylar's first victim ( ... )

Thanks. A couple of those names I would have never come up with (like Brian Davis, for example).

I originally figured that Mr. Petrelli Senior was the one with the precog abilities, just because they kept talking about his delusions of grandeur and that he comitted suicide because he was manic depressive. It just seems to me like thinking that you can see the future in some way would make others see you as delusional. Heh. I guess it's still possible, and it's something that manifested late in life. But he was not aware of any sort of power at the time of the comics, which was... what... about 15-20 years ago?

Random question... you have to be 35 to be President, right?

So that means that Nathan is at least 35? So those comics may have been even longer ago than that-- more like 30 years ago. And that means that Peter's probably older than he acts. :p

I should really be working instead of pondering deep Heroes thoughts. :D

Blast it, wasn't there someone sylar ate who had improved hearing... Yeah, that lady mechanic. Don't have a name. Didn't see her on the lists.

Dale - super hearing

I don't remember her last name... but I'm pretty sure the first name was Dale.

And yes... that's how Mohinder was able to taunt Sylar with the tuning fork. ;)

Where did I hear the theory that Simone's dad had the prophetic dreams, and Peter soaked it up while taking care of him? (Here, probably.)

Heh. That was probably me. But after further examination, I seemed to remember that Peter had not started working for Mr. D when he had the vision about Nathan's accident.

I still think Mr D is more connected than we know so far.
