I have to laugh when I see people on TWoP posting with great confidence that in 1981 women didn't have long, straight hair (my mother did - her horrid eighties perm didn't come until a couple of years later) or that men wouldn't have taken their daughters to buy shoes (my father did sometimes, even though my mother was a housewife at the time). I LOVE the show. The acting is superlative and Matthew Rhys's ability to inhabit his various personas is amazing. I'm going to date myself here by admitting that I was only a year younger than Paige is in1981. It's fascinating to see real-life events that I can remember portrayed as history. This must have been how my parents felt watching films/tv set in the 60s when I was a child.

I've been really impressed by both the leads, and I love seeing Margo Martindale again. She was awesome on Justified.
