1) H came home, immediately saw that I was stressed out and crampy and cranky, and proceeded to make frozen strawberry margaritas approximately the size of hot tubs. (The enormous margarita glasses were a gift from his grandmother. You know, the one I had to buy Depends for. Embarrassing!) Cinco de Mayo, yay! Or just tequila, yay! Truly, H is a ( Read more... )

4) Thank God they're not having yet another Companion pining after the Doctor.

That said, if Amy Pond doesn't turn out to be a construct created as a trap for the Doctor, I will be somewhat annoyed, because she doesn't strike me as stupid, and when someone recoils in horror from your advances?

You recoil too, generally speaking. And maybe hope the universe opens up and eats you.

Besides, how cool would it be if the Daleks or such created or engineered her? She's very much like Donna...I like her just for that...but the jumping. oi.

I'm sick to death of the pining, so a blatant "Let's get it ON!" was incredibly refreshing, and, yes, there is most definitely A Lot More Going On with Amy Pond than we know. Or there had better be.

Yeah, I'm with you on the refreshing but it went on a smidge too long and then it was RILLY? SOMEONE THAT SMART WOULD...OH NEVER MIND.

:) I called "unsubtle" on the series with the very first ep. But still very entertaining. I wasn't so fond of the Daleks ep and I loved Part 1 a lot harder than Part 2...but so far?

I'm liking. I hope they can continue to strike a fine balance.

Amy made the guy she later agreed to marry DRESS UP LIKE THE DOCTOR, so subtlety was not so much what I was expecting. Can't wait to see how it all plays out. :D

Damian Lewis needs to be on my tv again. What is he up to these days (googles)...some fantasy movie called Your Highness? Doesn't say who he plays. Zooey Deschanel and Natalie Portman in the same film? Isn't that too much of the same thing?

I love Amy. I don't get the Amy Hate either. For me she has been the funnest companion since the show got restarted. She's probably the only one to have cracked into my top companion list that is traditionally purely old school. Oh well.

I cried when they died, but I wasn't surprised by it. More surprised they made me care. I enjoyed Jin's story, but Sun has been on the sidelines so much I kind of lost track of her emotionally. Blowing up and/or death by water seems to be their thing on Lost. I think I'd prefer blowing up. Less time to think about things. Sayid has been on the back-burner for me lately too, but I appreciate his heroic end as well as giving Jack that one last bit of info because Desmond/Penny is still the top of my list of things I want to work out by the end of LOST.

I have watched so many terrible things just to get my Damian Lewis fix. (Dreamcatcher! Alex Rider: Stormbreaker! And more!)

Amy hate makes me judgy. She is so much fun.

Sun and Jin died reconciled and holding hands. Very romantic! (Their poor orphaned daughter, though.)

I'm even cool with this just being how Amy is and nothing fishy beyond what we already know about her. Having been on both sides of that awkward moment in the past it didn't bother me very much. It was just awkward to me. And it did go on a beat longer than it ought to have, but this is TV and they did have to get through some dialog. *shrug*

I thought of their kid too. Even back when Sun decided to leave her kid and come back to the island for Jin. That was almost suicidal in itself. Hopefully she ends up with his parents and not hers. Maybe Kate could start a home for Lost children.

What bothered me more than that was how they kept having them talk in English. Sorry, but if you are going to die and were talking to your husband/wife you would probably revert to your native language and not one you just learned in the last four years. That bit took me out of the scene.

I rather enjoyed the awkward flinging/freaking out Amy/Eleven scene, either way.

Less big, sad alas-it-can-never-be eyes of pining, more DUDE, I WANT YOU TO BANG ME. It is a nice change. :D

I'm so happy to be rid of David Tennant (sorry, Ten fans!) that I'd like to fling myself at Eleven myself.
