1) H came home, immediately saw that I was stressed out and crampy and cranky, and proceeded to make frozen strawberry margaritas approximately the size of hot tubs. (The enormous margarita glasses were a gift from his grandmother. You know, the one I had to buy Depends for. Embarrassing!) Cinco de Mayo, yay! Or just tequila, yay! Truly, H is a prince among men.
2) In related news, I apologize if my spelling and/or grammar is worse than usual.
3) Just started catching up on the last four aired episodes of The Pacific. I'm trying, and it's well done and everything, but I just can't love it the way I loved Band of Brothers from the very beginning. Not really connecting in the same way. I miss Damian Lewis and Ron Livingston, I think. Also, the WWII Pacific theater stuff that really interests me is mostly naval/aviation.
4) Doctor Who: There are actually people who don't like the Eleventh Doctor and Amy and the glorious-albeit-dodgy River Song and Amy trying to hit the Doctor like the fist of an angry god? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THEM? I AM JUDGING THEM. HARSHLY. ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE SAYING GROSS THINGS ABOUT AMY BECAUSE SHE WEARS SHORT SKIRTS AND GOES AFTER TEH SEX. (EVEN MORE SO IF SAID PROBLEMATIC THINGS IMPLY THAT SEX WORKERS ARE LESS THAN HUMAN OR SOMETHING.)
5) Lost: I called Sun and Jin getting dead as soon as they reconciled and she gave his ring back to him. Anyone who was even remotely surprised by their touching deaths after that has paid no attention to the show whatsoever. That's a nightmare fuel death, though - trapped in an enclosed space with water rising. *shudder* It got me the same way that scene in The Abyss did (even though she came back). Bye, hot Sayid! I'm so happy you redeemed yourself. Also, everyone's favorite (or least-favorite, as the case may be) angsty dude with a savior complex, Jack, so clearly has "THE NEW JACOB" tattooed across his forehead that it really should be a red herring, you know? WE SHALL SEE.
