Let me tell you a little something about Alice in Chains: they are LOUD. Not "Oh God, my ears are bleeding! Make it stop!" loud. More of a big, smiley "If I'm going to lose all my hearing this is the way to do it!" loud. AIC IS A METAL BAND!!!That depends on who you ask. Yes, their sound is very metal, but many people consider them one of the pre-eminent grunge bands due to the content of their songs and the fact that they came out of Seattle. They'll go down in history for that reason alone. I guess that's what I meant when I said "truly classic" rock bands - bands that will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the greats of their time. Pearl Jam is another one I'd like to see before any of those guys kick the bucket ( ... )

then you need to see the THRASH TRIFECTA also: Metallica, Megadeth, and SLAYER.

oh good!
I've only seen live music TWICE so I can't comment on it in that sense. I hate crowds, and cheap (or at various times have no money) and am overly sensitive to noise.

i remember hearing that one on the radio.

AiC is more metallic than most of the grunge bands, and that's certainly part of why I like them best of that stuff!

I've always thought Dave Mustaine was kinda cute.

I've only seen live music TWICE

How long ago was that, and who did you see?

That's pretty much Greg's position. He is a complete metal head.
