I FORGOT BUFFY?! ... One day I will have a full list of every fandom I care about... Sorry this took so long. I gave up on writing Austen's characters after the third try. >.>;

Theme on Jane Austen's works
What I love about this fandom: Mostly the rapid arguments in P&P, but I am very fond of Austen's satirical style in her other novels, though on occassion I find the satire drowns the characters and makes it impossible to enjoy anyone.

My favorite character: Eliza Bennett, obviously.

My favorite moment: The chapter where Eliza goes to Netherfield to beard the Bingley sisters in their lair, and take care of Jane. It's where we really get to see Eliza match wit with Darcy, and they feel so well matched (and she can't stand it when Darcy starts to ignore her because he fears he is become attracted beyond the point of wisdom)

My favorite relationship (romantic, familial or friendly): Darcy's brotherly protection of Georgianna, and how Eliza fits in after she is married.

How I stumbled into the fandom: My grandmother made me watch the 1980 BBC Australia mini-series of Pride and Predjudice when I was ... young. Maybe 7? Quite some time after that, I read the P&P book, as well as Sense and Sensibility. I tried out Emma, Persuasion, and Northanger Abbey. I've seen Mansfield Park, but never read it. *blush*

Fanfiction: No, I've never read or written fanfic for any of Austen's novels. I have seen some for sale in stores, though. I kind of get annoyed.

Fanart: Seen some very good stuff, but never produced any of my own.

Things I recommend: The 1980 mini-series, since no one else seems to have seen it.
- A Review with links to the version I'm talking about online. There's another review I read somewhere that also pointed out that a flaw in my favorite version is that the sexual tension is downplayed, which it is, but since the book had nothing that I would identify as sexual tension to begin with, I'm not sure why this is a flaw, per se.

The Violins
My het OTP: Mr. Knightly and Jane Fairfax ( ( ... )

I am so with you on Emma/Mr. Knightly. That pairing always, always weirded me out on some level--and Emma was a difficult character for me to love, much like Fanny Price in Mansfield Park.

Mansfield is certainly (IMHO) the least *pleasurable* read of the Austen canon, but is also the most thematically complex (according to the critics at any rate). I didn't care much for the film adaptation, but after several readings, I have come to a tentative, genuine appreciation for Austen's less approachable work. She specifically wrote Fanny Price as the antithesis of Eliza.

My favorite heroine though (as much as I adore Eliza Bennett) is Anne Elliot. I find Catherine from Northanger Abbey terribly endearing as well.

I wonder if I love Colonel Brandon x Marianne (and by extension Eleanor/Edward as much as I do because I am and always will be desperately in love with Emma Thompson and Ang Lee's 1995 film.

You are 10000% forgiven for not ficcing Austen.

But, hey, if you have any BTVS fic around.... :D

Hetalia! Because I am sooooo original. *snerk*

But rest assured, the presence of MF once more brings light into my cold and dreary (literally, it's so overcast) day.

Theme on Hetalia
What I love about this fandom: That it made me fall in love with history.

My favorite character: (Spinning the bottle, since I love them all) Denmark

My favorite moment: Well, I still think Netherlands' bunny harassing Poochi during the Isolationist!Japan strips is the best thing ever. The second best thing is Lithuania and Poland being boss against Prussia in 1410 (Finland's retelling of the Battle of Tannenberg, since Prussia actually looks dangerous in that version, and Lithuania was so bad ass).

My favorite relationship (romantic, familial or friendly): I, ooh, this is a hard one. I love Prussia and Germany's brotherly tough love for each other. AOS FTW, but I think I'm going to go with Germany's slowly changing caring for Italy. It is the foundation of the series, and I love to watch Germany come around to a softer view.

How I stumbled into the fandom: We watched several episodes in anime club, and I found them cute, but it wasn't until my friend came down with a case ( ... )

The Violins (Pairings)
My het OTP: AusHun - The more I look into Austrian history, the more entertaining this pairing gets. Such competitive spirit, the pair of them, when put into the same room.

My slash OTP: SuFin - I'm writing a fairly romance-less and lengthy fanfic about it...

My femslash OTP: The pure and pretty pinkness of Little Sister Love will never lose it's place here (unless we go nyotalia) - Taiwan x Leichtenstein. As Switzerland would say: they are good friends who like to have tea parties.

My endgame OTP: Prussia and Canada - see the 'what I want to see happen' section.

The Viola (The light instrument)
My crack for this fandom: France x Netherlands, as fairly well established

My nominee for best comedian: Romano. He makes me crack up with his antics.

What would happen if I were God of the Fandom: There would be a lot more strips on the Batshit Crazy stuff that the Brits came up with during World War Two. Also, there would be Scotland.

My nominee for viola player: Poland - Like, Duh.
