Hi! I'm still here.

Hello, everyone. It's been a long time. The holidays have come and gone, and it is a brand new year! Actually it is February already, so the year is already getting that comfortable, broken-in feeling to it. It doesn't feel strange to write "2009" anymore, does it. I hope everyone had a very happy holidays, a happy new year, and a happy ( Read more... )

Hooray! I've missed your posts a lot. Your photos are lovely, the top three make me feel so nostalgic, and it wasn't even two months ago. Ahhh. How has California been since I left? I miss it a lot and feel like I want to still be a part of its going ons; do you know what I mean?
That's a lovely hat you knitted, though they always are!
And that's one muffiny kitty. Is she yours?

Hi, Jim! California misses you as well! You haven't missed a great deal - though it is very beautiful in the spring, it can still be quite chilly and drizzly.
A confession: we still have our Christmas tree up. :s So you see it really HASN'T changed very much at all.

That hat is probably the most advanced one I've attempted yet, and therefore might be my favorite. Maybe I will make one for myself in a different color when I have the time. Do you need a new hat yet?

Morgan Muffin is SUPER muffiny, and I am proud to say that yes, she is all mine. <3 Inasmuch as a cat CAN belong to a human, I guess. She is very willful and can be grouchy, but she's a big softy at heart, and sleeps with me at night and purrs. I think she is a lot like me. :p

Ah! I got your card in the mail just yesterday! (It might have even arrived the day before but I had class and didn't see it when I came home.) I was so happy to receive it. ^__^ Not only was it lovely and from you, it made me feel like I could still be connected to the world, even while off the internet ( ... )

That last comment turned into a novel. :s Sorry. Wizard Rock! They sent out the last of our 2008 Wizard Rock ep of the month at the beginning of February. Not all of it was amazing, but it was a fun thing that I think I am going to miss. I can send you some songs, if you like.

Nice pictures, I especially like the snowy one.

Is that cat yours? If so, when did you get her?

I wish I could get an exercise routine down, but I always slip back into not exercising fairly quickly. I need to find some kind of activity that I really like that is exercise itself. I would say kayaking for my upper body/core, but I don't have my kayak here, not to mention a way to get it to different places. Anyway, good job with the exercising, keep it up!

What's wizard rock?

Are you going to update your livejournal regularly again?

Exercising! It is really great. I am taking a class through my college so I really have no excuse for falling out of it, and everyone has been very encouraging. At first I went with a very clear goal in mind: to get fit. But after a month, I'm finding that I just want to go. It's become fun for me. I think that is the key. After awhile your body gets to like it, and then it gets a lot easier to go every day, and to keep pushing yourself where you would have previously slowed down or given up. I know I still have a very long way to go, but right now I think I want to stick with it, even after my class ends.

If you feel like making some trips down during the summer, I know a place we could go kayaking, out of Jack London Square in Oakland. We had a kayaking block in Outdoor Ed back at the Waldorf School; it was a lot of fun and I'm sure you'd be good at it!

Wizard Rock is this awesome genre of music pioneered by a band we listened to together - remember Harry and the Potters? Well, it seems that a lot of people were really ( ... )
