Oi vey. I am getting health insurance through my fellowship and heard in the wind that there were domestic partner benefits to be purchased. I went to the Q&A today and asked my question, only to be told that, "oh, the deadline for that was yesterday." Well... awesome. That was well done, folks. Back when I was buying my own health insurance, I used Anthem (Blue Cross) with a high deductible. It wasn't great, but it was among the best available for the price for an individual.

I've been hearing good things about something called medical savings accounts. They cover 100% of everything after the deductible is paid, and said deductible is covered by the amount in the 'savings account'.

Blue cross has one of these as an option.

You spelled Oy wrong. Also, getting decent health insurance is ridiculously difficult--I have a student policy and it covers prescriptions for like, Zyrtec, and that's it. That is also an exaggeration.

And you're only as young as you feel, crotchety old woman. ;)
