Oi vey. I am getting health insurance through my fellowship and heard in the wind that there were domestic partner benefits to be purchased. I went to the Q&A today and asked my question, only to be told that, "oh, the deadline for that was yesterday." Well... awesome. That was well done, folks. The campus rep, who is paid by the university and NOT by the provider, said that she would backdate the form for me, which was very nice of her. HOWEVER. It is prohibitively expensive, and thus a moot point. Blech.
Jenn was finallly paid yesterday, so she is in a much better mood and made me a delicious dinner and is now willing to look into buying some health insurance from another provider. Woo, adulthood.
Speaking of adulthood, I had to admit to my landlord yesterday how old I am. I thought it would get better once I was the magical legal age, but no, it's going to be many, many years before I stop feeling embarrassed about being so young.
