Do you guys feel that the church should involve itself in the legal battles of the members??

Today in one of my classes, this guy said our soldiers are all babykillers, and that's one of the main things we are doing in Iraq, is killing babies. I was doing my usual morning news rounds and found this article on BBC.co.uk. It seems to call for bloggers everywhere to unite and call for the release of two imprissoned bloggers in Iran. Has anyone heard about this? This is the first mention of it I've found.

How long do we have to wait before the United States stops requesting other countries to disarm, but refuses to disarm itself?
How can we ask other countries to give up something they feel is a protection, when we refuse to ourselves?

I've been wondering this and think it would be an interesting discussion.
