zzzzzzzz...

Soo, it seems I've used up all my magical free time.  Oh how I miss it.  The next update to LitToS is almost done, but I'm now watching my large army of small children all day everyday.  And I'm tired.  And exhausted.  Also tired again.  As soon as I fix the whole dead brain problem and think thoughts other than "Wash your hands for snack!" and "We ( Read more... )

we're adults: when did that happen?, wip talk, ramblings

Children are demanding...but it's things like that that makes them oh so cute...:)

Take care and rest!

Yeah, they have me absolutely exhausted by the end of the day, but the things they do are so incredibly sweet.

Thanks! I'm already looking forward to going to bed and it's not even 8 o'clock lol.

At the end of the day I think of my little monsters and remember how sweet they were when they were babies. I remember the little gestures they do throughout the day.

As for the kids I watch during the day, they can be trying but to think what a impact you make on these children and how much they look up to you is priceless.

My remedy a long bubble bath and a glass of wine almost every night....

Aww, yeah, it's definitely the little gestures that stick in your memory. Kids are so freaking good at those sweet little things! My campers make me tired, but I really do love working with them. They're all so dear and say the craziest things.

Ooh bubble bath and a glass of wine. I may have to adopt this remedy. My thighs are burning from constantly squatting down to their level. I feel like I spent all day at the gym lol.

Working with a bunch of little kids must be exhausting. I babysit a five month old during the week and by the time her mom picks her up, I'm completely worn out. You must have a lot of patience. :D

Can't wait for the next chapter for LitToS! :)

Yeah, taking care of kids is surprisingly exhausting. It's a lot of fun, but then I go home and pass out! I've definitely learned to be patient working with this many little guys lol. :D

Yay! Hopefully I'll be able to update soon! :)

Ican only imagine how exhausted you must be. And even though sometimes they can be little monsters, doing things like drawing you cute little scribbly drawings, sometimes make up for it.

Take as much time as you need to rest and recoop.

And I feel like such a horrible follower of your fic. I took a momentary break and stopped on Chapter 9. However, I can't seem to get my fanfic love back.

Any ideas?

It is exhausting, but it's so much fun at the same time. I love working with preschool kids even though I think they're the most physically draining to deal with because they are such sweethearts and so eager to learn and help.

Hmmm, I'm not sure about a way to get your fanfic love back. We all lose interest in things. My own interest in Grey's always wanes a little bit over the summer thanks to the no new episodes, but then comes back in the fall.

Oh boy, you are super woman.

I'm the nanny of three children who are not so small (8, 11 and 14) and I'm exhausted at the end of the day! What kind of class are you teaching, like a day care? :)

I'm pretty sure we're the same person. Grey's obsessed, child-loving college students for the win! And do I remember that your major is elementary education, or is my over active imagination making that up?

Hee, thanks. I never thought taking care of kids would be so tiring before I started doing it, but at the same time, I love it so much. They are just the sweetest, loveliest little people. I work at a summer camp, running the class for the preschool age kids. Being a nanny sounds fun!

Wow, we pretty much are the same person!! And you are thisclose to having my major right. I actually want to do early childhood education, not elementary. But, you know, almost the same! :D

Kids are the best...it's a TON of work, but I've never left my job without a smile on my face. I love being a nanny - it has been perfect for me!

I went back and forth when choosing between early childhood and elementary education. I ended up choosing Elementary, but it was really a toss up. Can I ask what grade you want to teach? I'm going to teach 1st. :)

Yeah, I don't think I could ever go back to a job that didn't involve working with kids. I used to be a cashier, and I always left work miserable because the customers were just the nastiest people, but with kids, I always leave work happy. Absolutely EXHAUSTED but happy.

I want to teach kindergarten. First grade sounds like a lot of fun too. :)
