I tried out the smoker I got from princess auto a few weeks back. I would not say it was a disaster because it worked, after a fashion, and I eventually got the pork loin cooked. However, it was certainly not idea, it was not sealed well, the heat, as well as the smoke escaped and it was darn hard to add more charcoal as needed. That said, I

I want an electric smoker. There's a really nice one for $299 at Sams Club, but my main problem would be securing it. My neighborhood is pretty safe, but I don't want such a pretty toy out in view, and since my patio is visible from the street, it would be.

But I plan to have one eventually. Slow cooked meats are wonderful.
